Welcome To Paulville

May 18, 2008

As in “Ron Paul”.  His supporters won’t go away.  In fact, they are looking to start their own town in West Texas.  Here is the layout, courtesy of Wonkette.

Here’s the pitch from paulville.org:

The goal of Paulville.org it to establish gated communities containing 100% Ron Paul supporters and or people that live by the ideals of freedom and liberty.

The process is forming a co-op of people buying shares in the community and these people would be granted land use at a minimum of 1 acre per share, for as long as they homesteaded the land. The community would be privately held by the co-op to establish private property for the general community thus preserving the community is 100% freedom and liberty lovers. The community votes on all community efforts, such as utilities etc. However no one is forced to consume these utilities and or pay for them, AKA people can be off grid on their share of land. This is in line with the ideals that you’re free to live your life the way you want and not be forced to do or pay for other people’s life styles you may not agree with.

These communities are not for the faint at heard they will start as undeveloped land in non city locals, as this is the way to secure large tracts of land needed for these efforts.

However the goal is a minimal financial outlay of around $500 per share to establish this community.

“Faint at heard”?

  1. Sounds like HELL ! I’m with Jesse Ventura, REVOLUTION at the polls. Vote the BASTARDS OUT!.
I can’t vote for McCain, time to get out of Iraq!
Might vote libertarian, but; might vote democrat.
I almost choked on THAT !
    REVOLUTION AT THE POLLS !!!!!!!!

  2. Actually, the closer I look at Ron Paul the more I like him…

I guess the town is a good thing?

  3. Ya, when he talks he sounds like a weenie.
They can call it WEENIEVILLE !

  4. Where do you get land at $500 an acre and how deep into the swamps is it?

  5. “… to establish gated communities containing 100% Ron Paul supporters … that live by the ideals of freedom and liberty.”

Anyone else see the silliness in hiding in a walled community to live with freedom and liberty? Paulvillians will be about as “free” as the beeves that fill the feedlots around Hereford, TX.

The Warren Jeffs, Mormon nuts in Eldorado, TX also built themselves a gated community so they could live lives of freedom and liberty. They’re in jail now.

  6. I think PBS tried this already, the series didnt make it to a 2nd season nor will this. I think we can safely say that all would be,past and present u.s. presidents who live in Texas have some kind of brain damage! or maybe its linked to the fire ants.

  7. “The community would be privately held by the co-op to establish private property for the general community thus preserving the community”

I guess these are some of his Kumbaya supporters that never heard Ron Paul is an ardent capitalist. I guess once they get their little commune set up they’ll be free to sit around all day chanting “9/11 was an inside job.” It’s really sad, that Ron Paul had a lot of good things to say and he ended up surrounded by nutjobs.

  8. “Faint at heard”?

Yes I fainted when I heard this.

Sounds like one of those gated, keep all non-believers out “enclaves” to me. Freedom and libety my ass. What freedom do you have when everyone has to be Ron Paul supporters and think alike? What happened to following your own drummer and being an individual? What if one of the participants after a few years decides he wants to become a Democrat and is supporting (hopefully) President Barack Obama?
Will he be stoned to death literally or figuratively in their town square or in their local newspaper?

Will they take his house and acre? THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE! LOL!

God bless those wacky Ron Paul supporters though, as they can be very amusing sometimes. I suppose they mean well. Hopefully.

  9. That picture looks alot like Sim City from years ago. I had quite a few cities where I was the mayor. I did very well and my people were happy. I never checked their political affiliations though.

I thought everyone would go nuts when I gave them a football stadium! Fun times for all.

  10. Truly, all Ron Paul supporters are brainwashed by this man.

worst than a cult, the ron paul supporters drink too much koolaid.

    poor fools.

  11. Again with the “koolaid”! Oh brother… I forgot what that means, outside of the Jim Jones context.

I don’t think they’re brainwashed, Louie… they’re attracted to Paul because he stands for what they stand for, you know?

  12. Obama country and Hillary Hills are much better investements..

  13. Ron Paul draws people from both the conservative and liberal side of the political spectrum…for that, he should be applauded.

His opposition to the Iraq War was the best argument that I heard and consistent with the rest of his beliefs.

  14. You mean they gave it the idea of moving to New Hampshire? I suggest they should go live in Wyoming since Wyoming has the fewest people. They can become the majority.
