May 13, 2008When you’re 18. She claimed innocence when the Vanity Fair photos came out. But there are photos circulating that appear as though the Vanity Fair shoot did not require much persuasion. Just a few weeks ago, she said she was embarrassed by the Vanity Fair photos. If she was embarrassed about those, how must she feel about these?

You know what… THESE pics of Miley and Hannah don’t bother me, b/c they’re actually just young girls having fun. (Also I’m assuming the pics were meant to be private.) Girls like to feel attractive and beautiful.
HOWEVER, I will state that I found out only yesterday that my 16 year old brother lost his virginity with another 16 year old. I found out b/c the girl, who is now his ex (they were together a few months), saw my 17 year old sister in the mall and casually said, “did he tell you that I was his first?”. Do you understand what she asked? She was HIS first, but she’d already lost her virginity.
I don’t know. I understand wanting to feel beautiful and growing into this beautiful image of yourself, but I draw the line at “sexy”.
the only difference between this generation of fifteen year olds and mine(i was 15 in 1980) is that now we have camera phones and myspace. the same stuff was going on in my day, but we just didn’t post it on the internet..

wait a minute… was that Miley in ALL the photos, or just the ones at the bottom? if that was her in all of them, i change my mind. the two girls kissing bothered me. seemed more like a “let’s turn the guys on” kiss than a “i’m a gay teenaged girl” kiss.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to look attractive and desirable. I felt the same way when I was 15. But she purposely took those pics in order to expose herself publically on the internet. She really doesn’t know any better at that age so I am not necessarily blaming her.
But what about her media saavy dad? I guess he figures this will boost her career ala Britney Spears and keep the money pouring in. He obviously doesn’t mind that kind of exploitation.
Hey maybe he can offer sex with his daughter for a small fortune. Or he could just sell HER to the highest bidder.
I’d just rather see Hillary Duf nude. She’s and adult and looks pretty damn good from the images I’ve seen.
I don’t give a fig about Miley, other than how awful and mind numbing her form of “entertainment” is. The sooner she’s out of the spotlight, the better.

Epiphany~ Tara made a really good point. Perhaps the problem isn’t the kind of blossoming into your sexual identity, as it is throwing images of yourself around while you’re in that process.
I really hope Billy Ray isn’t just chasing the money. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill would NEVER stand for this with any of their girls. They haven’t even let their daughters be photographed.
Nah, Hilary has way too much dignity ~I love her latest album–listen to her lyrics. She mentions she has blossomed and matured mentally, and she says she knows way better than to listen to Hollywood all the time.
