Yet at the same time we see clear signs of a disturbing breakdown in the very foundations of society: signs of alienation, anger and polarization on the part of many of our contemporaries; increased violence; a weakening of the moral sense; a coarsening of social relations; and a growing forgetfulness of God.
There goes his chance for the Democratic nomination.
I heard that as the pope was discussing the war in Iraq and illegal immigration with George Bush, GB was putting on his usual smirk face and laughing at the pope because at that same moment there were some raids throuhout the country by the homeland security nazis rounding up undocumented immigrants that are probably going to be separated from their families.

I cannot believe what I have read on this blog. Is everyone here getting a paycheck from the illegal taxation in this country because of a government job or welfare check or is everyone under 16 without ever having had to support themselves?
Excuse me, but Joseph Stalin and others already tried out the Nanny state and it was Joseph Stalin’s idea to give us the Raw Deal which in addition to the Ingrate Society that has bankrupted this country and put us trillion’s in debt. Debt we can never pay off.
Republicans are to blame as well with their love for corporate welfare but I understand greed. Stupidity and thinking like a 10 year old expecting Mommy to do everything for you I can’t understand.
Have any of you ever read the constitution, the bill of rights or the federalist papers explaining why we have a constitution? I know most Republicans have they just set it aside to make money. Liberals don’t even understand why we have a constitution.
Racism is just a communist trick to take away our freedom of speech. Environmentalism is just a communist trick to steal our money and our land rights. Feminism made taxing the other half of society possible and drove up the divorce rate while the govenment indoctrinates them in public schools.
Have any ofyou actually done any reading on what the Federal Reserve is and why a central bank and an income tax are illegal in this country? Have you ever wondered why the constitution states that we have a monetary system based on gold and silver only? Did you know it was the Rockefellers that donated the land the UN sits on in New York.
Liberalism is communism and the international corporations that are stealing our country from us are the ones that put communism here. These huge multi-national corporations never would have been able to get as big as they are without communism to force legislation on the small private companies that put them out of biussiness so the big corporations could take over.
It is halarious to hear Liberals complain about the big corporations that they helped build. Now you want more government programs on top of the hundreds we already have. This country is banmkrupt and a depression is iminent. How do you expect to pay for your nationalized health care and what do you intend to do when you get it and sustainable medicene comes into play as it has in Spain, England and probably a few other countries dumb enough to sue their doctors out of bissiness while importing the entire third world for free services they don’t pay for.
Do you people realize that any government that can give you everything can also take everything away?
You Liberal’s are nuts! The Republicans are bad but they have a long, long way to go to get to where you people are at. You want everything that is bad for this country and hate everything that made it what it used to be.
