Crocker Says al Qaeda On Afghanistan-Pakistan Border Greater Threat Than Iraq

April 8th, 2008, 5:36 PM EDT

Joe Biden (D-Delaware): Mr. Ambassador, is Al Qaeda a greater threat to US interests in Iraq, or in the Afghan-Pakistan border region?

Ambassador Ryan Crocker: Mr. Chairman, al Qaeda is a strategic threat to the United States wherever it is…

Biden: Where is most if it?…Which would you pick?

Crocker: I would therefore pick Al Qaeda in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area.

  2. Has Crocker been fired yet? How about now? And maybe he should be fired. How dare he contradict Bush policy? Does he think he has a right to dissent? Why does he hate America? Is he an atheist?

  3. But yet, we only have 30,000 troops in Afghanistan while we have…..what is it……200,000 in Iraq?

  4. What was it Obama said a while back that the Republican “Forces of Darkness” jumped him about for warmongering?

Something about putting our attention where it should have been long ago and going after Osama bin Laden, even if it meant crossing into Pakistan to go get him?

Mr. Crocker is a little late to the party, but better late than never.
