The Swift Boaters Are Getting Ready

And they’re aiming for Obama.

The new GOP group is still in embryonic form, Republicans strategists say, but it is being led by operatives who ran the 2004 Republican group Progress for America, and will probably be funded at least partly by “alumni” of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the group that used TV ads four years ago to challenge Kerry’s well-documented heroism in Vietnam.

One Republican strategist familiar with the plans said Republicans expect Senator Barack Obama, who leads rival Hillary Clinton in the Democratic race, to be their opponent and have begun assembling material to turn voters against him.

And, I’m sure, with the same amount of grace and fair play they displayed against John Kerry.

  2. The “stuff” that they hurl will pale in the face of the real challenge of the Presidency. If he is as good as his hype, he’ll survive just fine. If he’s unprepared for their cannons, he’d better duck and get out of the way or let Hilliary stand up to them.

    More importantly, don’t they realize that the left-leaning 527 groups have more money and more ammo to work with? McCain has a LOT of vulnerabilities- his first wife, his second wife, his mistress, his lobbyists buddies, his racism, his sexism, his age, his temper, his allegiance to Bush, his buttkissing of Falwell, etc etc.

    If they want to get into a media shooting war, then it’s their candidate that gonna come out worse for wear.

  5. If you want to see a little of what Obama is facing go to you tube and type in is Obama Wright,,watch that and tell me Obama has a chance. Also his good friend Tony Rezko is gonna sink him, we haven’t seen the last of that case,better back Clinton Obama is done.

You’ve never been anywhere, or done anything to know where to go or what to do. I got a suggestion, “why don’t you all bend over, put your heads between your legs, and and kiss your asses good by. Sky is right, give up on politics. Go back to your jobs at the night shift of “Quickie Mart” and stop waiting for “liberal handouts”.
